Data Deletion

Last updated 25 July 2026

The short version. Email panospaglos6772@gmail.com with your Instagram username and the word “delete”. Everything held about you is erased within 30 days, usually within a few days, and you get written confirmation. There is no charge and no account to close.

What gets deleted

On request, all of the following is permanently removed:

Deletion is permanent. Records are removed from the live database rather than flagged as hidden, and they fall out of routine backups within 30 days.

How to ask

By email

Send a message to panospaglos6772@gmail.com from any address, including:

Nothing else is needed. If the request comes from an email address the operator cannot connect to your Instagram username, you may be asked to send a direct message from that Instagram account instead, purely to confirm the request really is yours — a deletion request from an impostor would itself be a privacy problem.

By Instagram direct message

Message the operator's Instagram account with the word delete. That is sufficient on its own, because the message proves the account is yours.

By removing the app from Instagram

You can also revoke access at any time from Instagram itself:

Instagram then notifies the app, and any stored data associated with you is deleted. Note this route applies only if you granted the app access to your own professional account; a person who merely commented on a post has no such grant to revoke, and should use one of the two methods above.

How long it takes

StepTiming
Acknowledgement of your requestWithin 72 hours
Deletion from the live databaseWithin 30 days, usually a few days
Deletion from backupsWithin 30 days of live deletion
Written confirmation to youOnce deletion is complete

What cannot be deleted

Two honest caveats:

Anything else

Deletion is only one of your rights. See the Privacy Policy for access, correction, portability and objection, and for who to complain to if you are not satisfied.
